Senior Engineer will be reporting to the Technical Director this key role will influence the successful delivery of port and harbour projects.

Responsibilities of Senior Engineer

  • This is a hands on design role but you will supervise graduate Engineers and Technicians in the delivery of the designs for a wide range of civil engineering and maritime projects.
  • Senior Engineer will be reporting to the Technical Director this key role will influence the successful delivery of port and harbour projects.
  • Client management is also an important factor and you will support the Technical Director with project administration and the procurement of civil engineering construction contracts
  • Full involvement in project lifecycle from inception through to completion

Requirements needed for role of Senior Engineer

  • Degree or higher in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Chartered with ICE, IEI, IStructE or equivalent
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in the design of heavy civil and/or maritime structures
  • Experienced using a range of packages including Plaxis, Wallap and MasterSeries
  • Knowledge of relevant design codes of practice including Eurocodes
  • Knowledge and experience of civil engineering contract procurement using a range of contracts such a NEC, ICC and FIDIC

Quantity Surveying & Contract Manager – London

The Quantity Surveying & Contracts Manager is responsible for implementing, maintaining and reporting against the business plan for that business on a timely basis.

The Quantity Surveying & Contracts Manager will have ideally experience in NEC3 forms of contract and be familiar with Crossrail or LUL systems.

The Responsibilities of the Quantity Surveying and Contracts Manager will include: –

  • Compliance to the NEC3 forms of contract.
  • Being familiar with Crossrail or LUL systems and methods
  • Maintain proper site records to ensure the commercial delivery of the project
  • Ensures that a strong and capable team of professional and qualified personnel is in place.
  • Review Scope of Work for every prospected project as per Documents and Drawings given by the Client.
  • Originate Request for Quotation for Materials or Equipment required for the project as per the given Specification by the Client. Originate Technical Clarification with regards to the project prior to Material Take-Off preparation and Construction Cost Preparation.
  • Coordinates closely with top management to minimize undue exposure to any risk in the management of contracts and in dealing with the client and subcontractors.
  • Handles the administration and management of all contracts with clients for the company.
  • Oversees the administration and management of all subcontracts with subcontractors, and ensures that all subcontracts are on a back to back with the contract with the clients, where possible.
  • Ensures that the company is protected in all contractual arrangements with clients and subcontractors in line with good business practice.
  • Ensure that the company is working within its contractual obligations and is maximizing recovery of all costs against contracts.
  • Monitors and manage the sub-contractors’ performance against their contract with the company.
  • Participates in risk assessment & management of contracts at the front end and right through the whole project lifecycle.
  • Ensures that the management and project teams are all aware of the essential provisions of the company’s contracts.

    Automation Engineer – Plant Installation

    Automation Engineer required by Chase Resourcing to work for our Client in Munster.

    The Automation Engineer should have a third level engineering qualification and a minimum of 5 years’ experience with in depth knowledge of PLC controls systems such as Siemens, Mitsubishi, Allen-Bradley

    Your experience should preferably be in Pharma or Food and Beverage Industries but we will also consider candidates from other industries.

    Main Responsibilities:

     

    • Working with the projects department, develop PLC/SCADA software for new plant installations.
    • Ownership of the automation projects from concept / design through to delivery and production handover.
    • Modifying existing control systems to meet changing production demands.
    • Identifying opportunities where the latest technologies in automation can benefit and enhance production.
    • Project manage external automation contractors.
    • Out of hours automation support.
    • Upgrading older control systems as part of an obsolescence strategy.
    • Fault finding robotic packaging and palletising machines.
    • Working with various historian and reporting software packages.

     

    Qualifications & Experience required:

    • A third level engineering qualification or equivalent.
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience.
    • Direct experience and in depth knowledge of PLC controls systems such as Siemens, Mitsubishi, Allen-Bradley.
    • SCADA development experience in the Wonderware suite of products (Intouch, System Platform, Historian).
    • Process experience in the pharma industry (food/beverage) including heat treatment, spray drying, membrane separation technology etc.
    • System Design (URS, FDS, SDS, FAT, SAT).
    • Practical database experience, scripting, AutoCAD and IT Skills.
    • Control System Design and implementation with knowledge of GAMP.
    • Experience with Robots (ABB, Fanuc, Motoman).
    • Electrical & Instrumentation knowledge.
    • Experience installing & maintaining controls networks and communications (Ethernet, Profibus, Profinet)
    • Experience of managing automation projects is advantageous.
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, coaching and conflict management skills.
    • An ability to work independently and interacting with a multi-disciplined team.
    • Ability to apply Engineering principles in practical application.

    The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), due to come into effect on 25th of May 2018, will provide a modernised, accountability-based compliance framework for data protection in Europe.

    Data Protection Officers (DPO’s) will be at the heart of this new legal framework for many organisations, facilitating compliance with the provisions of the GDPR.

    The Data Protection Officer should have expert knowledge of Data Protection Law and Practices and be able to fulfil the required tasks as set out below.

    DUTIES

    • Devise the policies and procedures that bring the organisation into compliance with the GDPR,
    • Monitor the implementation and application of the GDPR, in particular as to the requirements related to the rights of the data subject, data protection by design/default and data security.
    • Inform and advise employees of their obligations pursuant to the GDPR with regard to technical and organisational measures and procedures and provide training where required.
    • Provide advice and oversight in relation to the Data Protection Impact Assessments and monitor its performance,
    • Cooperate with and act as the key contact point for the Data Protection Commission,
    • Act as the contact point for data subjects with regards to all issues related to the processing of their personal data and to the exercise of their rights,
    • Report data protection concerns to senior management and the KBC Group DPO where appropriate.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • A relevant degree or other third level qualification or relevant professional qualification is required.
    • Expert knowledge of data protection law and privacy practices, including familiarity with national and European data protection laws is considered an advantage

    Overview of the Role:

    The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for quality assurance & control of both raw materials and finished products for a specific unit operation.

    This role will provide guidance and on-going support to facilitate compliance with Quality / Regulatory policies, Food Safety Programs (HACCP) procedures and product specifications with a primary focus on the factory floor activities. The individual in this position will promote a high standard of awareness and understanding at site level of all appropriate policies, procedures and product specifications and direct all relevant continuous improvement initiatives.

    Responsibilities:

    Facilitate the development & implementation of Quality Standards by ensuring the necessary training and support is available to the value stream and other functional areas.

    • Compliance with HACCP programme and Global Quality Management System.
    • Implement relevant quality related systems including:
    • Validation programmes as required
    • Environmental monitoring programmes
    • Change control system
    • CAPA
    • Implementation of continuous improvement initiatives
    • Other projects and responsibilities as may be defined
    • Develop and maintain effective relationships with customers, external agencies, regulatory bodies and all relevant internal functions
    • Prepare facility for quality audits and manage internal & external expectations

     Qualifications:

    • Diploma or higher in a Food Technology, Microbiology or a related Science related discipline.
    • Knowledge of quality Systems: BRC6, ISO 22000:2005, ISO/TS 22022-1:2009 and FSSC 22000.
    • Experience and knowledge of HACCP systems.
    • Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment is essential
    • Strong background in Food Safety and Quality Management Systems.
    • Proficient in the use of MS Office tools.
    • Excellent written, numerical and verbal skills.
    • A demonstrated numerical ability to record, interpret and analyze key process data.
